As a home buyer or seller it is important that you choose a real estate agent and company that will benefit you the most.

Look for an experienced Agent who is active in the area you are considering.

Do not even contact a Real Estate Agent or Loan Officer until after you have pulled your credit report and obtained your credit scores from the three major credit bureaus.

Once you have determined that your credit score and credit reports are adequate (browse over this site) to further familiarize yourself with the home buying/selling process. If you still have a lot of questions or anxiety about the home buying process you can take a homebuyer education course at locations throughout metro Atlanta.

Look for a realtor or company that is on solid financial ground and is not in a desperate state where the lack of a closing will affect how they operate.

Avoid a realtor or company that uses high pressured sales technique as they may not be working for your best interest.

Look for a company that has a strategy on the front end to assist you in making the best purchase based on your needs and wants and price range. Do you have an adequate emergency fund? Are the schools in the neighborhood appropriate? Has the time horizon of homeownership been taken into consideration? Can you really afford this house?

By properly asking and addressing these and other questions on the front end an agent can greatly increase the odds of you not only purchasing your home but also increase the odds that you will keep your home in the future.

Do they offer additional services that will put you in the best financial position prior to buying and/or selling your property?

Are they not only experienced, but do they take the home buying and home selling process as a serious endeavor by the potential home buyer or home seller. Are they professional and do they have a high degree of integrity?

Are they current on the latest trends in Real Estate? Do they offer service that you expect and can depend on? Do they return calls promptly? Are they a technology savvy company? Do they provide you with information you need in language you can understand so that you can make wise choices?

Is the agent successful and effective?

Do they provide good, dependable information and service? In todays real estate environment you need an excellent agent and company.

One who can explain the home buying and home selling process in clear terms and one whom you feel comfortable with as the agent or company that you choose should be a lifelong partner in your home buying and home selling process.
