Wilksmoor Village In Peachtree City:

Wilksmoor Village (commonly referred to as the "West Village") is one of the newer villages in Peachtree City.

Wilksmoor Village was developed over the last 15 years or so (late 1990's) and has seen rapid development (by Peachtree City standards) as residential and commercial developments of various sizes have occurred.

The Planterra Ridge subdivision is a large development in the Wilksmoor Village near the Peachtree City Tennis Center and Line Creek Nature Area.

The subdivision features one and two story homes on decent sized lots. There are however, a large number of speed humps to deter speeders as it is a large development with pedestrian, golf cart and other activity.

You may be able to find more competitive prices on Golf Cars and accessories by searching around.  eBay and amazon.com have some of the most competitive prices on many car accessories—and golf supplies that you may need!

For example, my motherboard on my E-Z-Go II Battery Charger —went out—and instead of paying several hundred dollars to repair it locally—or purchase a new charger ($500-$600 locally—I purchased a new charger on eBay for slightly less than $300. 

It has an 18 month warranty and is very quiet compared to my EZ-Go II Battery Charger—and it has worked great (had it for 2 months at the time of this writing).

There has also been retail and commercial development with Home Depot, Wal-mart and other retailers coming to the area over the past 15 years or so.

The most recent retail development (MacDuff Crossing) is on Highway 54 (on the south side of highway 54 if you are going east) where there is a Dollar Tree and a number of other new retailers listed below.

Wilksmoor (West) Village also currently have new homes that are being developed by John Weiland Homes just to the north of Wal-mart. That is one of the few areas along with Cedarcroft in the same general area of Peachtree City that have residentially zoned lots that are currently being built out.

Cardiff Park subdivision is within easy walking distance of the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

Planterra Ridge is a large well established subdivision of one, but mainly two story homes in the West (Wilksmoor) Village.

However depending on where you buy within the subdivision you may have to travel over Speed Humps—in some cases you would have to go over several before you arrived at your home—however, they are there for a good reason though as speeders have been a problem in the past.

Planterra Ridge price points range from about 250k to 500k with an average sales price of about 300k. Some homes have a golf course view and some have the potential of a lake view once Lake McIntosh is completed.

The West (Wilksmoor Village) is also home to Wynn Pond, Line Creek & the new Lake McIntosh.
